Cat in the Night, by Ken Mahon

I’ve been rather quiet recently, but here’s an old comic I re-lettered so I could post it on Tumblr. I did this in 2 days for Halloween last year, and somehow It was my strongest work when showing my portfolio around TCAF, so I thought I’d give it a proper entry here.

Anyway, I’m working on SO many comics you don’t even. I’ve got a 4 page long Dark Souls 2 Thing that’ll hopefully be up by the end of the month. I’m working on another short story comic like the one above, and some other stuff I guess. It’s pretty irrelevant but it’s comics!

Dear Aaron Diaz,

Over the past few days we’ve already exchanged some words about this. I reblogged Mary’s comic lampooning your comic (and others like it), expressing my approval of its message. I also subtweeted your work fairly obviously. We are friendly acquaintances and my behavior was…

Okay… I NEVER reblog something that’s not directly related to my work, but I HAVE to put this out there.

Now, I love Aaron Diaz’ work, but I’ve grown quite weary of his hypocrisy for all of the reasons above, and maybe a little more, and I sincerely hope he takes this criticism on board because I don’t want another misguided rant about how much he hates seeing something he’s also guilty of. I’m glad someone else got this to him, because he certainly doesn’t know enough of my existence to take me seriously.

Sorry, I just like comics and am definitely for someone’s work improving when I feel something is horribly wrong, but who would listen to little old me? I’m just the guy who wrote a few too many Dark Souls comics.

I’ve been thinking about Beck, so I’m doing this thing of the band from memory. That’s anime Beck… Not Loser Beck.

What’s this?! I actually finished a Gilbert Marlowe piece?!

Black Jack!
So I’m pretty close to redrawing a chapter of Black Jack for the hell of it, much like Urasawa’s Pluto, or Brandon Graham and Emily Carrolls Archie comic.

Part 2 of 2

Hot of the back of Storm Chasers release. This was my first real experience working with a writer. A strange difficulty curve, but it got much easier when I decided what I wanted to do with it.

Comics.

Yes! This is your last chance to subscribe for more, but Storm Chasers has come out and I don’t hate looking at it so it must be good?

Anyway, more books to come and I’m sure they’re all awesome.

So, as the Youtubers say, leave a comment, like and above all SUBSCRIBE

Working on the grey tones for the new Storm Chasers pages, and this happened.

Hey! I haven’t posted an update on Tumblr about my webcomic in a while. Well, it’s still going, and I’m back after a 3 week hiatus after TCAF.
BUT I can’t remember where I left off here on Tumblr, so here’s a link to the start of the chapter
I really need to sort out my archive…

It’s high time I talked properly about this.
So Storm Chasers is getting a printed edition, courtesy of Paddy Lynch and his Cardboard Press imprint.
Now, I said way back when that Storm Chasers was digital-only, but then it sold dreadfully, and another option presented itself to get it back on its feet. So I took it, because gosh darn it, I’m proud of it. Maybe the most proud, but it was Paddy himself who insisted on Storm Chasers.
This version in particular will be a print exclusive EXPANDED edition, featuring 2 chunks of story I omitted from the original release because of reasons. There’ll also be some editing on occasion.
Now, I don’t know much about the other stuff coming out(We’re all still working on them), but if I ever knew anyone in this country who KNOWS comics, then you can trust that the other books will be fantastic. And most likely a bargain at the price.
So what’re ya waiting for?
